Refracting Telescope
Two lenses, one revolution.
This surprisingly simple instrument revolutionized astronomers’ view of our universe!
Essentially, the Kepler telescope consists of two convex lenses. The first, a powerful convex lens, projects an image of a distant object into the light path. The second, the eyepiece lens, allows for an enlarged observation of this projected image.
